Senior ERP Logistics Specialist (Freelance)

About the Project:

We’re supporting a pharmaceutical company headquartered in Vienna, currently in the Design & Build phase of a Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations implementation. To strengthen their team, we’re seeking an experienced Senior ERP Logistics Specialist with a hands-on consulting mindset and strong background in logistics, supply chain, and ERP testing.

Key Responsibilities:

🔍 Process Handover Review

Perform exploratory testing of delivered logistics processes and master data
Collaborate closely with Key Users to ensure completeness and accuracy
Test various process variants, exceptions, and configurations
Document and report any issues promptly and clearly

⚙️ Golden Configuration Maintenance

Establish initial system configuration (e.g. legal entities, logistics parameters)
Maintain and update the Golden Configuration throughout the project
Reflect business changes in close cooperation with Key Users

📝 Process Documentation & Training

Ensure logistics documentation remains up to date across project lifecycle
Work with Key Users to capture process changes and enhancements
Create and update user-friendly training materials focused on D365 logistics
Support end-user readiness and onboarding through structured training content

🔄 Data Transformation & Verification

Collaborate with Key Users to convert and format logistics data for D365
Ensure data consistency, accuracy, and completeness during transformation
Perform comprehensive data validation against source systems and quality standards

✅ Test Case Management & User Testing

Develop detailed KUVT (Key User Verification Testing) test cases
Execute test scenarios covering logistics workflows end-to-end
Document test results, report issues, and support efficient resolution
Act as a liaison between users and developers during UAT and Go-Live prep

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 F&O or AX 2012, particularly in logistics, inventory, warehousing, and procurement
Hands-on involvement in full ERP implementation cycles
Strong ability to work directly with Key Users, business analysts, and IT teams
Fluent in English; able to work in an agile, remote-first team environment

Nice to Have:

Familiarity with tools such as Azure DevOps, LCS, Power Automate
Previous experience in regulated industries (e.g., pharma, medical devices)
