ECR Subject Matter Expert – Consultant (short-term: 10-days project)

Our client is a leading global merchant acquirer (confidential), operating across multiple international markets and continuously expanding its product portfolio. The company is launching a strategic initiative to design and develop a new Electronic Cash Register (ECR) solution to complement its acquiring services and strengthen its position in the payments ecosystem.

What will be your role

​

• Provide expert guidance on ECR ecosystem, architecture, and integration with payment/acquiring platforms

• Advise on business models (direct sales, partnerships, SaaS-based approaches)

• Support definition of go-to-market and sales strategy

• Deliver market insights, benchmarks, and competitive intelligence

• Contribute to defining the value proposition for merchants across multiple markets

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners

 

Who we are looking for

• A senior expert with strong domain knowledge and a strategic mindset

• Proven experience with ECR / POS solutions (ideally international exposure)

• Strong understanding of merchant acquiring and payment ecosystems

• Experience with commercial models and product strategy

• Background in consulting, product management, or sales within payments/ECR

• Ability to provide actionable, strategic recommendations

• Fluent English

• Nice to have:

  • Experience working with global acquirers or PSPs

  • Exposure to multi-market product launches

  • Previous consulting experience
